For more than 20 years he showcased his jewellery designs at many art shows in San Francisco, CA. USA. In July 2022 he and his husband decided to move near beautiful Kinsale, an endless source of inspiration.
The core material in all his designs is fine silver. Growing up in Mexico with the sounds of silversmith's tools working raw silver taught him to respect and love this precious metal.
One of the best experiences he had while growing up was constantly witnessing the magic of taking dreams and ideas from sketches on paper to beautiful silver creations that adorn the human body.
His mother showed him the beauty of gemstones and natural semi-precious stones in many forms and colours. He now use some of these to enhance the distinct qualities of his creations. The influence of both his parents brought him to develop a distinctive style that combines silver, simplicity and a touch of modern design to create elegant silver jewellery.
His jewellery designs are recognised for his signature flower and geometric collections inspired from the 60’s. Emilio Sotelo Jewelry designs are contemporary yet elegant with a timeless essence.
